Privacy policy
Cascade: Store Content Sync ("Cascade") is a Shopify app operated by Romiel Sagadal, an independent developer. This policy explains what Cascade stores, why, and how long. Last updated 17 October 2026.
What Cascade stores
- Store details: each installed store's name, myshopify domain, owner email, time zone, store key and plan.
- Access tokens that Shopify issues when you install the app, used to read and write the content you choose to sync.
- Links between stores: which stores send content to which, and what each receiving store chose to copy.
- Sync records: the IDs and handles of copied items, a fingerprint of each to detect changes, and which copy belongs to which original.
- Copies of deleted items: when a sending store deletes a metaobject, page or blog post and the receiving store deletes its copy too, Cascade keeps the copy for 30 days so it can be restored.
- Blog post author names: copied with each blog post you choose to sync, and kept in deleted-post copies for 30 days. Cascade doesn't read or store any other staff data.
- Activity log: each sync's item, result and reason, kept for 30 days.
What Cascade doesn't access
Cascade doesn't request access to customers, orders, payments or inventory, and doesn't store any data about your customers.
How it's used
Only to copy the content you choose between the stores you link, show you what happened in the Activity log, and email the store owner about link requests and sync problems. Cascade doesn't sell or share your data, and doesn't use it for advertising.
Service providers
- Shopify, where your content lives.
- Render, which hosts the app and its database in the United States (Virginia).
- Resend, which delivers the app's emails to the store owner.
Deletion
When you uninstall Cascade, its access to your store ends straight away and links involving your store stop. Shopify then asks Cascade to delete your store's data, normally 48 hours later, and Cascade deletes everything it holds about your store. Content already copied into your stores stays there: it's your content, in your stores.
